The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has announced the availability of grant funding for state departments of health for the purpose of pandemic flu preparation.  The grant announcement, available here, explains that interested grant applicants should focus proposals on plans for vaccination, antiviral distribution, community mitigation and other preparedness activities.  Grantees should also focus on laboratory, epidemiological and surveillance needs.
